Egypt advanced to the Arab Cup semi-finals, after a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Jordan after extra time in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

Yazan Al-Naimat scored a goal for Jordan with a superb shot from the edge of the penalty area in the 12th minute, and Marwan Hamdi equalized with a header in stoppage time for the first half.

Substitute Ahmed Refaat scored Egypt's second goal in the 100th minute, then substitute Marwan Daoud scored the third goal before the final whistle in a match held in front of a large number of fans at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakra.

Egypt will play Tunisia in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
