Guardiola warns players about Christmas Eve

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola, the English Premier League champion, called on his players to be careful during Christmas celebrations with family and friends in order to avoid infection with the emerging coronavirus, which is rapidly contagious and spreading.

And due to the outbreak of infection in the ranks of Tottenham Hotspur, the Premier League agreed to postpone its domestic match away from home against Brighton & Hove Albion, which was scheduled for Sunday.

This is the second match for Tottenham Hotspur to be postponed for the same reason, after the London club's match against Stade Rennes in the European Conference was postponed last week.

Leicester City played its Europa League match against Napoli last weekend without several key players, also due to Corona, and Guardiola said he hoped that a similar situation would not occur in his team, and then called for caution.

"They know that they have to be careful and that they have to stay at home as much as possible," Guardiola said.

Guardiola confirmed that his team canceled plans to hold a Christmas party for fear of infection as well.

Guardiola's mother died of corona last year.
