NPB = announced that the company that outsources the operation of the online shop mistakenly sent the names and addresses of 161 members to customers by e-mail.

NPB says, "We want to thoroughly educate and strengthen our efforts to prevent mistakes."

According to NPB = Nippon Professional Baseball Organization, on the 9th, when the person in charge of the company that outsources the operation of the online shop responded to the customer's inquiry by e-mail, the personal information of 161 people registered as members was mistakenly sent.



Approximately 30 minutes later, the person in charge noticed the erroneous transmission and asked the customer to delete the data.



Most of the personal information sent by mistake was the name, and in some cases, the telephone number was included in addition to the address.



According to NPB, the data sent incorrectly was subsequently deleted.



Regarding this, NPB says, "When sending an email to a user, we would like to create a mechanism to prevent erroneous sending, such as double-checking, and thoroughly educate, and strengthen our efforts to prevent mistakes."
