Even before today's match, both Sweden and the Netherlands are ready for the main round of the World Cup.

Despite that, the match is incredibly important.

- It is difficult to sweep under the carpet at the same time as you do not want to overdramatize or put everything in a balance.

But it is an important match.

If we want to go to a quarter-final, considering what the opposition looks like later, then this match will be very important, says national team captain Tomas Axnér to SVT Sport.

The top three teams in each group make it to the main round and all teams take the points they have collected against the other two teams that advance from the group.

This means that Sweden wins a maximum of four points in the victory against the Netherlands.

Norway's big favorite

And why is it important?

Well, because Sweden plays in group D, which in the main round merges with group C and forms a new group game where six teams fight for two quarter-final places.

In group C is the gold aspirant Norway who is a big favorite to pinch one of the quarter-final places.

The other will probably fight Sweden and the Netherlands - and therefore it will be extremely important to step into the main round with more points than the Netherlands.

- This match is a key match for us if we want to look forward to medals.

If we lose tomorrow, we must in principle win over Norway and that is a very difficult resistance.

If we are to reach a quarter-final, we almost have to win, says Swedish midfielder Linn Blohm to SVT Sport.

The group final between Sweden and the Netherlands starts at 20.30 tonight.
