Linus Videll has not played since October 19 when he poked as team captain and after that he reported the club for "offensive discrimination".

After that, Djurgården started an independent investigation.

The report stated that the club as an employer can not be blamed from a labor law perspective, but in a statement Djurgården regretted that the situation that has arisen has affected the player's well-being.

Today, the club announced that Videll has requested to be bought out of the contract that expires in the 2022/2023 season and that he will be moved to the J20 team.

Videll himself says that he has not asked to be bought out, but that this is the only way he can imagine if he is to leave.

"My answer was in light of the fact that you said last Friday that you did not know how our fans will react if I make a mistake and that it might be best for me to leave given that I have a family," he writes there and continues:

"I will show up at the J20 team's training when I am healthy, until I am selected for the first team again".

Videll still believes that the move to the J20 team has not taken place in consultation with him, which he believes is stated in the contract that it must do.
