Tsubasa Aizawa of Hiroshima was appointed as the new player chairman of the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association, and stated his aspirations at the press conference, "I want to do my best for the professional baseball world in 10 or 20 years."

This was decided at the general meeting of the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association held at a hotel in Osaka City on the 6th.



At the general meeting, Rakuten's Ginjiro Sumitani, who had been the player's chairman for four years, has retired, and Hiroshima's Aizawa has been approved as the new player's chairman.



Aizawa is 33 years old in his 15th year as a professional player.



I served as the player chairman of Hiroshima for two years from 2018.



According to the secretariat of the players'association, it is expected to collaborate with players who cross the boundaries of the team because they have experience as a representative of Japan.



At the press conference, Aizawa said, "I feel responsible for succeeding Mr. Sumitani, but I would like to do my best for the professional baseball world in 10 or 20 years."
