With the first touchdown of his young NFL career, professional footballer Amon-Ra St. Brown gave the Detroit Lions the long-awaited first win of the season.

When the clock ran out, the German-American caught a pass from quarterback Jared Goff to 29:27 against the Minnesota Vikings in the end zone.

After ten losses and one tie, the Lions finally broke the spell.

It was the franchise's first win in a year almost to the day, the last time the club was successful on December 6, 2020.

St. Brown is the fourth player with a German passport to score a touchdown.

Previously, St. Brown's older brother Equanimeous (Green Bay Packers / December 2020), Jakob Johnson (New England Patriots / September 2020) and the former NFL professional Markus Kuhn (December 2014) had managed the feat.

Kuhn wore the jersey of the New York Giants when running into the end zone.

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught ten passes against the Vikings for a total of 86 yards of space - a personal best - and was celebrated for his decisive catch.

Meanwhile, Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers won 30:17 at the Atlanta Falcons.

Superstar Tom Brady threw four touchdowns, but also made an interception.

With the intercepted ball, Falcons defensive end Marlon Davidson ran into the end zone.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski, at Brady's side three times with the New England Patriots and once with the Bucs NFL Champion, got two touchdowns.
