On Tuesday, Filip Forsberg scored four goals in Nashville's total crush of Columbus.
Last night, the 27-year-old once again became the team's hero when he secured the victory against Montreal.
Only 17 seconds remained of the extra time when Filip Forsberg dropped the club in a close contact at the left corner.
The clock ticked relentlessly towards a presumed penalty - but the Swede went calmly and icy forward and picked up the club, before he shot a pass from Mikael Granlund in goal with 12 seconds left.
- I would not say that we planned for it but it worked.
It has been done before, says Forsberg to the NHL's website.
Eleventh goal in 15 matches
It was the eleventh goal in 15 games played this season for the successful Swede, who was forced to just over three weeks of injury absence in November.
Nashville started the scoring early thanks to a hard shot from the blue line by Mattias Ekholm, who was guided in by teammate Eeli Tolvanen's club.
But the Montreal players, who have been discouraged lately with just six victories after playing the Stanley Cup final last season, were not prepared to give up so easily.
In the second period, Montreal fixed a 2-1 lead, before Nashville's Mattias Ekholm once again came forward with a wrist shot, which was controlled by Tanner Jeannot - and it was equalized 2-2.
At full time, it was 3-3 in the end and Montreal had a coveted victory within reach - if it had not been for Filip Forsberg.
