The Egyptian national team qualified for the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup after a crushing 5-0 victory over 9 players from Sudan at the "974" World Cup stadium in Qatar today, Saturday.

Egypt joined Algeria to the quarter-finals, after the two teams were equal in points, each with 6 points from two matches, as well as the goal difference.

Sudan comes at the bottom of the standings without points, trailing Lebanon by goal difference, as the two teams bid farewell to the tournament early.

Ahmed Refaat opened Egypt's goals after 4 minutes from the start, with a wonderful direct shot, after sending a strong free kick that bounced off the crossbar to follow it

Mahmoud Hamdi "Al Wensh" made the score 3-0 for Egypt in the 31st minute with a powerful ground shot from inside the penalty area after a break from Hussein Faisal's dribbling and an elaborate cross pass.

Sudan started the second half with 10 players after Yasser Muzammil was sent off with a red card directly after a rough intervention on Ayman Ashraf in the last minute of the first half.

And the matter worsened for Sudan after Faris Abdullah was expelled in the 53rd minute, after receiving a second warning after receiving the first by only 3 minutes.

And 4 minutes later, the brilliant Faisal added the fourth goal for Egypt, when he followed a Marwan Hamdi header that bounced from Abu Ashrine's hand to easily put the ball into the goal from close range.

Substitute Mohamed Sharif concluded the Egypt quintet with a header in the 78th minute, but the referee used the video referee technology before calculating the goal.

The referee canceled a goal for the Egyptian team, for the substitute Mohamed Magdy, "Qafsha" for offside in the 73rd minute.
