Jose Mourinho's mood after the 0-3 defeat against Internazionale was far below par.

The flamboyant AS Roma trainer refused to answer questions at the press conference.

Instead, Mourinho gave a sharp monologue in the press room.

"Your job is much easier than ours," he snapped at the journalists.

"Well, that's why we get paid more than you."

"I apologize to the people in the studio and the people at home, who might be interested in your questions. But I don't have much to say," said the Portuguese coach.

AS Roma lost against Inter at home without a chance.

Thanks in part to a goal from Denzel Dumfries, it was already 0-3 for the defending champion at halftime.

"Under normal circumstances, Inter have a better team than us. And now it was not normal conditions, because we missed a lot of players. That made it very difficult," Mourinho summed up the game.

Mourinho's remarkable press conference was shown on big screens at Stadio Olimpico, but all Roma supporters had already gone home.

Mourinho thinks his team should have had more yellow cards

The coach missed, among others, the suspended Rick Karsdorp and Tammy Abraham.

Four other potential basic players were missing with injuries or a corona infection.

"Our attacking power was almost zero, when you know you only get two or three chances against Inter. In the back a lot of players weren't in their normal positions, but you still can't concede the first and third goal like this." Mourinho grumbled.

The staffing problems at Roma will continue for a while, as Gianluca Mancini and Nicolò Zaniolo were shown a yellow card, banning them from the next game against Spezia.

Still, Mourinho did not want to criticize the referee: "He should have given Bryan Cristante a yellow card, actually."

The trainer concluded his remarkable monologue by congratulating his former club Inter.

"I want to wish them the best of luck on Tuesday in the Champions League against Real Madrid."
