The Al-Arabi team regained its lead in the standings of the first division teams after its victory yesterday, against its host Hatta, with two clean goals in the ninth round of the championship, scored by Rashid Issa in the 35th minute, and the Brazilian Paulo Silva (88), bringing Al-Arabi’s balance to 22 points in first place, while Hatta’s balance froze at 17 points.
In a second match, Dibba Al-Hisn managed to beat its host Al-Bataeh (2-1), adding to it the first loss of the season, as he scored for the Brazilian Bataeh Henrique (26), while Dibba Al-Husn scored for the Brazilian Anderson Murao (31), and Brazilian Joao Vitor (80). Dibba Al-Hisn has 17 points, compared to 20 for Al-Bataeh.
Al Rams won at home to City (2-1) and scored for the Brazilian winner Thiago Silva in the 26th minute and his compatriot Frenkvaldo Lima (70), while the Senegalese goal of Ninani Banda scored (74), bringing Al Rams nine points to one point for City.
