The championship competitions begin with the elite men’s challenge for a distance of 21 km across the sand dunes of the Liwa Desert, followed by the elite women’s competitions, then the children’s competitions for the age group 12-14 years over two miles, while children aged between 4 and 6 years will enjoy participating in a half-length obstacle course A mile, and a one-mile race for children aged 6 to 11 years old. The program of the first day will witness the challenge of the CEO of Spartan International Corporation, starting from six thirty in the evening until eight. In a press statement, the Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Aref Al-Awani, welcomed the participants in the world championship, stressing that "the council was keen to provide all factors of success to present an exceptional version."
