Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo crossed the 800 goals barrier in his career with clubs and his country when he scored two goals, to lead Manchester United to a 3-2 victory over Arsenal in an exciting match in the English Premier League today, Thursday.

Arsenal advanced in a strange way in the 13th minute when United goalkeeper David de Gea fell in a corner kick after an intervention by his teammate Fred, the ball went to Emile Smith Rowe, who easily put it in the goal.

Referee Martin Atkinson did not blow his whistle before the ball entered the goal and awarded the goal because there was no foul.

United equalized a minute before the break with a close-range shot from Bruno Fernandes, then advanced in the 52nd minute through Ronaldo after a low cross from Marcus Rashford, reaching the 800th goal.

Arsenal responded immediately by equalizing with Martin Odegaard's goal, but Ronaldo decided the victory with a penalty awarded by the referee after reviewing the game on a screen outside the field after Odegaard's interference from Fred.

The match began with United fans raising banners to thank former coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was sacked last month.

The new interim coach, Ralf Rangnick, watched the match from the stands, before taking over the task of leading the team in the next match.
