In the district court, 2019, former ÖFK chairman Daniel Kindberg was sentenced to prison for serious financial crime.

Both Kindberg and the prosecutor appealed the tin court's verdict.

On Friday, the Court of Appeal acquitted Lower Norrland Kindberg and the co-defendants on all charges.

Daniel Kindberg was chairman of Östersunds FK 2010–2018.

What awaits the 54-year-old after the Court of Appeal's acquittal is still unclear.

But he does not rule out a role in his former club.

- It is too early to take a position and it is not up to me.

It is the members who decide in the first place.

Then you have to be asked.

I know what I want to achieve and what I can achieve.

We have already seen that, says Kindberg

- I love football and ÖFK, the players and the leaders.

My love does not die for this.

I'll have to think about it coming.

I will do something in the football world, says Kindberg.

It's annual meeting soon, will you be there?

- I usually be there, to ask questions and find out things.

But for me it is not an end in itself unless people want me to be involved, I do not do it for my own sake.

Everyone knows what a job this means.

I do not do it for my own sake, says Kindberg.

ÖFK had a heavy 2021 sporting.

Before the last round, they have already been ready for relegation and games in the Superettan next season for just over a month.

- It's sad and I suffer terribly with the players and the leaders.

I have always supported the players and talked to many every week.

I am proud of them, says Kindberg.

Daniel Kindberg is also charged with suspicion of bribery, a trial that begins January 18, 2022.
