Toronto goalkeeper Jack Campbell is seen by many as the NHL's best goalkeeper right now and is high up in the statistics in most categories, and no goalkeeper in the NHL has won more games this fall.

In 19 games played, he has a save average of 94.3 percent.

- They are a really good team.

Good offensively.

Really good player.

But we played as we have done in recent matches now and stuck to our plan, Campbell said during the press conference after the match.

"Long season"

William Nylander started Toronto's goal celebration with 1-0 in the beginning of the match.

Nylander got a pass from John Tavares at the center line and got past the Colorado defense to then place the puck in the upper corner behind Jonas Johansson's right shoulder in the Colorado goal.

Nylander is also noted for an assist.

- It's a long season and it will go up and down.

I think all the guys are aware of that.

We have a good feeling right now, for how we should play, says Tavares who scored a goal and is noted for another assist.

Colorado's Jonas Johansson certainly saved more shots than Campbell for Toronto, 33 against 28, which illustrates how many more chances Toronto created.

Homage tributes

Toronto has now won five games in a row, and Matthews has scored in the last four of them.

- It gives a shudder, it really is someone special, Matthews answers the question of how it felt to get the home crowd's tributes after the third goal.

Colorado lost to Dallas last week, but before that it was in early November that the team last went on a beating.

- We did not play as a good hockey team, but we know we can be one, said Colorado's team captain Gabriel Landeskog after the match.

Landeskog himself was noted for an assist.
