As part of the 16th day of Ligue 1, Montpellier and Metz faced each other at the Saint-Symphorien stadium.

Montpellier took the victory 3 to 1. The Montpellier team of Dall'Oglio played in a balanced 4-2-3-1 with Wahi in the lead, and faced the 3-4-3 of Antonetti.

Opening the scoring in the 38th, Savanier allowed his team to really start the match.
