After a year of involuntary absence, the Gothenburg Open, Sweden's largest parasport event for children and young people, was back last weekend.

Lilla Sportspegeln was present when 350 children and young people met and competed in sports such as electric bandy, bocce, shooting, miniature curling and, frame running.

One who rode just frame running, where you get around with the help of a tricycle without pedals was Clara Eriksson.

- It is simply a way for us who can not move.

I could barely move forward when I started with this but now I can.

Now I also have better strength in my legs and have great fun when I train and compete, says 17-year-old Clara Eriksson from 3V Gothenburg.

In addition, for the first time ever, the sport of frame football was included in the program, where players use a rear-facing walker on the pitch.

One who has longed for a tournament in frame football is 14-year-old Vilmer Porle, whom Lilla Sportspegeln has met before.

- Two years ago, frame football started here in Sweden and then there was only my team.

I then dreamed of being able

to play matches against other teams and not just train.

Now my dream has come true.

I like to compete and meet others so this is great fun, says 14-year-old Vilmer Porle.

A total of four teams were present when history was written in Gothenburg, two from Stockholm Frame Football, Allstars and 3V.

The Stockholm team made it to the finals where Mira Surname's team finally won 3-1.

- The most fun thing about the Gothenburg Open is that you can make friends and score goals.

It's fun when you can meet different teams and play against them, says Mira Björk.
