The President of the Football Association, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, affirmed that Martyr’s Day is a luminous sign in the history of our dear, strong and advanced state, and an occasion to remember the sacrifices and heroisms made by our martyrs in loyalty to their homeland and nation, noting that the present and future generations are inspired by the sacrifices of the martyrs, lessons of dedication and loyalty to the homeland and its leadership. .

He said in a press statement, "The celebration of Emirati Martyr's Day is an occasion to commemorate the sacrifices they made for the sake of the state, its elevation and dignity," stressing that "the UAE martyrs are medals of pride on our chests, and they are a source of inspiration to our people and successive generations." The head of the union added that "the martyrs represent the truest symbols of loyalty and patriotism because they sacrificed their lives for the homeland."

He continued: "Today, we stand with all honor and appreciation in front of the great sacrifices of our martyrs, and we express our gratitude and loyalty to their souls and for what they gave for the sake of the UAE, its leadership, its people and its history," noting that "the state's martyrs will remain immortal in the memory of Emirati history, and they are the best catalyst for sacrifice, work and giving for the sake of The homeland of coexistence, tolerance, prosperity and progress.

He concluded his statement by saying: "Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs."

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Football Association, Mohammed Al Dhaheri, said, "The martyrs are an eternal flame that illuminates the paths of glory for our people and our nation. The sacrifices of the martyrs are appreciated by every Emirati, and will be written in letters of light in human history."

He added: "On this great day, we remember with pride every martyr who gave himself for the dear homeland. This sacrifice is a symbol of patriotism, loyalty and devotion to the homeland and its rational leadership."
