Off the plane, set, go: On her comeback on German soil, Konstanze Klosterhalfen also proved her exceptional position on medium-sized routes on difficult terrain.
The 24-year-old won the cross-country run in Pforzheim on Sunday over a distance of 6600 meters in 24:42 minutes.
Second-placed Alina Reh crossed the finish line just over half a minute behind.

She really wanted to "run off-road again", said Konstanze Klosterhalfen about her first cross-country run after a four-year break.
“It was a tough race, but also a great feeling.” On the track, the runner from Leverkusen has been undisputed on a national level for years, she holds the German records over five distances between one mile and 10,000 meters.
To advance her career, she has been training in the United States for several years.
From there she came directly to take on the challenge in the Pforzheimer area.
Now she is planning a training stay in London before she wants to lead the German team at the European Cross-Country Championships on December 12th in Dublin.
