The central match of the 16th round of the RPL between CSKA and Zenit was overshadowed by massive arrests of fans.

At the end of the meeting, some army fans staged a large-scale fire show, which provoked police intervention.

According to eyewitnesses, ten minutes before the final whistle, Interior Ministry officers blocked the people in the relevant sector.

Later, paddy wagons drove up to the arena.

Fans were taken out of the stadium in groups, searched and taken to one of the nearest police stations.

According to some testimonies, the procedure went slowly, and many had to spend several hours on the street, waiting for their turn.

At the same time, law enforcement officers released girls, children and disabled people.

As a result, the process of registering possible violators was completed only at night. According to media reports, more than 400 people were detained in total. According to the Ombudsman for Children's Rights in Moscow Olga Yaroslavskaya, among them there were 12 minors, who were "handed over to their parents on the same day."

Already on Monday, November 29, the Interior Ministry disclosed the details of the incident. The press center of the ministry reported that 51 protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up. 25 of them - under article 20.31 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of behavior of spectators during official sports competitions"), of which 14 - for the use of pyrotechnic products, 23 - under article 20.20 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ("Consumption of alcoholic beverages in prohibited places"). Two protocols were drawn up for petty hooliganism and one under Article 20.25 of the Administrative Code (“Evasion of the execution of administrative punishment”).

“It should be noted that the stadium where the match was held did not meet the requirements of the Safety Rules for Official Sports Competitions.

In particular, there was no video filming of the sectors where the most active fans were, ”the department stressed.

The CSKA fans themselves were most offended by the reaction of their favorite club.

According to them, they did not even try to stand up for their fans there.

In particular, the deputy general director of the army team for security Ivan Ulanov, answering a question from journalists about the arrests, noted that he “does not deal with” the fans and advised to ask questions to the police officers.

Only closer to the night on the official website of CSKA there was a sparse statement about what had happened.

The club promised to “sort out the situation” and make every effort to help those who did not commit illegal acts.

“Unfortunately, for the first time in the history of VEB Arena, pyrotechnics were used during a match on such a scale.

We condemn those who committed these acts, but at the same time we believe that the innocent should not suffer.

We will continue to contact law enforcement agencies in order to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

The club will also provide free legal advice for our fans, ”promised CSKA.

The RPL also intends to "carefully study" what happened in Moscow.

At the same time, the league agreed that the presence of the police at the stadiums is aimed primarily at ensuring security and preventing illegal actions, including the use of pyrotechnics.

“However, at the same time, we believe that in the case of the incident at the VEB Arena, the measures taken by the police obviously violated the comfort and endangered the health of people.

We state with regret that such events have an extremely negative effect not only on the image of the RPL, but on the whole of Russian football as a whole, "the League's press service told the Championship.

They also assured that they are in contact with the competent authorities and are doing everything possible to resolve the incident as soon as possible.

"Following the events of November 28, the RPL will conduct a thorough investigation and will do everything possible to prevent similar situations in the future," the press service added.

Already in the morning, the new president of the Premier League, Ashot Khachaturyants, announced that the RPL had requested a report from the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the events.

“They acted in response to a threat to the life and health of citizens, that's why they were so tough.

Now the authorities are dealing with the class of fires and smoke screens, "- quotes the words of the functionary" R-Sport ".

At the same time, he confirmed the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that cameras were not working at the stadium, which could help find those responsible for the use of pyrotechnics.

According to him, this was the result of a planned hacker attack.

One way or another, CSKA as a result of what happened may be subject to serious sanctions.

The RFU promised to consider the incident on Thursday, December 2, at a regular meeting of the Control and Disciplinary Committee.

“The agenda is being formed.

The issues that were indicated in the delegate's report will be considered, including the use of pyrotechnics by CSKA fans, chants by the fans of both clubs, ”the head of the FTC Artur Grigoryants is quoted as saying by TASS.

“One of the most important tasks of the match organizers is to ensure the safety and observance of the rules of behavior by spectators at the stadium. Unfortunately, as part of the organization of the meeting between CSKA and Zenit, which took place on November 28 at the VEB Arena, this task was not fully completed ... The Russian Football Union and the Russian Premier League will do everything possible to continue in the event of such violations, all verification activities were carried out as quickly as possible and with a minimum of discomfort for the audience, ”the RFU press service reported.

We add that in the current situation the army team fans were supported by their colleagues from other clubs.

The first to do this were the principal rivals - Spartak fans from the Supporters group.

A little later they were joined by another large association of red and white "Fratria".

Dynamo Dynasty also addressed CSKA fans with words of support.
