Karlsson after the success: "The pants started to burn"

Frida Karlsson held the lead all the way from the first half into the goal - and defeated Therese Johaug.

But after the finish, something else was in focus.

When Karlsson meets SVT Sport in the mixed zone, she says that her trousers started to burn when she sat in the leader's chair.

- I was sitting in the leader's chair, all of a sudden my pants started to burn, I thought: "am I that hot?".

It was a bit awkward there, she says.

Karlsson then had to change pants.

However, that was not the only problem for Karlsson when she sat in the leadership chair.

"I get a little panicked when I freeze"

She grinned badly in an icy Ruka and received prompt medical attention after the race.

Then she must first go to the tent at the target area.

However, she came with a reassuring message.

- No problem.

It has happened before, I get a little panicky when I freeze, she says to SVT Sport.

The 22-year-old won by far.

Karlsson was a full 13.7 seconds ahead of Therese Johaug - Ebba Andersson missed the podium just when she finished in fourth place.
