Can Växjö win without Robert Rosén?

That was the question before the reigning champions' away match with Färjestad.

During the first center's injury absence - a crack in the foot - Växjö had lost three games in a row in SHL ice hockey.

Rosén and radar friend Richard Gynge have scored 42 points this season.

- It is clear that I miss "Robban", the team misses "Robban".

At the same time, it is a good chance to challenge ourselves.

In our team, you are on the ice with four skilled players every time you go out there, so we have nothing to blame, Växjö's goal king told C More before the match against Färjestad.

It started well in Karlstad, with 1-0 already after 31 seconds.

A dream start, of course.

- You really have to say that.

There is very good traffic in front of the checkout and it does not feel as if (Färjestad's goalkeeper Dominik) Furch sees anything.

It does not have to be harder than that, goal scorer Joel Persson told C More.

de la Rose acknowledged

Färjestad has after a heavy period with six straight losses found the right and had three straight victories in the back before Saturday.

The home team made a new good effort against Växjö, but it took a while into the second period before there was a dividend.

Marcus Nilsson's fine pass gave Jacob de la Rose a half-open goal and it was equalized.

- When "Lilliz" got the puck, I knew from second one that I would get the pass so it was just to get ready to shoot, De la Rose told C More.

A goal cavalcade

The third period was a goal cavalcade.

Växjö's team captain Erik Josefsson won the match in front of the Färjestad goal and put the club to Juuso Vainio's contribution to 2-1 for the away team.

Färjestad turned to 3-2 via goals by Oscar Lawner and Marcus Nilsson, who showed that he can do more than fit when he sent the puck up in the crossbar behind Växjö goalkeeper Adam Åhman.

With a little more than five minutes left of regular time, former Färjestad player Olle Lycksell equalized to 3-3 in powerplay.

The match went to extra time and penalties.

There Victor Ejdsell decided for the home team.
