The Tokyo Metropolitan Government held a tour for the citizens of the city at the canoeing competition venue in order to let them know the charm of the competition venue used at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

The tour was held at the "Canoe Slalom Center" in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo, which was the venue for canoeing at the Tokyo Olympics.

It is the first artificial canoe course in Japan that the city has spent about 7.8 billion yen, and it can pump 12 tons of water per second to create a stable and strong water flow.

On the 26th, the athletes revealed their practice, and Takuya Haneda, who participated in the Tokyo Olympics, skillfully manipulated the canoe while bathing in water and passed through the gate.

Applause arose from the participants of the tour who saw the players' skills up close.

The capital will also visit the Ariake Tennis Forest and the Tokyo Aquatics Center next month.

A 71-year-old woman from Kita-ku, Tokyo, who visited the tour, said, "I think it's a spacious, comfortable facility that you can be proud of in the world."

Haneda said, "I'm really happy to have a facility that I could easily use, which was my dream. I want to use this as a base to train future medalists."
