The NRK reporters reported critically about the World Cup in Qatar and the lack of human rights in the country.

During the night until Monday, they were arrested by the Qatari police and released almost two days later.

- It must be possible for journalists and other professional groups to be guaranteed security.

In this case, you just want to ask critical questions.

What is obvious to us is not so in all places.

We must try to influence and continue to act in the way we can, says Sjöstrand.

How can SvFF act to ensure the safety of journalists?

- We can try to influence what we can, then it is Fifa who arranges the World Cup.

In the forums we operate, we will present criticism in this area as well.

It is of the dignity that authorities and others must also intervene.

This is about basic democratic principles, freedom of speech, freedom of the press.

What forums are you able to act in?

- Among other things, I and Terje (Svendsen, chairman of the Norwegian Football Association) are members of a working group from UEFA's side where we work for the rights of migrant workers.

Now we have more issues on the agenda that we need to help with and press.

Fifa and Svff have said that they are in Qatar to influence and hold talks.

Have you been able to see any change during these years?

- We see that there are reforms that have come into place on paper.

In the end, it's all about implementation and it takes longer than we think it should.

As recently as last week, I had a meeting with Amnesty and this week with Byggnads and we completely agree that we must continue to press as we have done for several years and that more people are now doing just fine.
