Two players were missing in Sweden's last training before Thursday's World Cup qualifier in Gothenburg.

Everton midfielder Hanna Bennison stayed at the hotel with milder cold symptoms, and Rebecka Blomqvist, Wolfsburg, has suffered a foot injury.

"Rebecka Blomqvist sprained her ankle during yesterday's training and does not train today.

Further follow-up will take place during the day before tomorrow's match ", the Swedish Football Association writes in a statement.

Asllani is missing

It is the latest in a series of illnesses and defects on key attacking players.

The creative engine in midfield, Real Madrid's Kosovar Asllani, for example, is not even in the squad due to injury.

The biggest cloud of concern, however, concerns the central attacking position, where Mimmi Larsson, Rosengård, is apparently alone in being completely injury-free at the moment.

Larsson also joined the squad late after Everton's Nathalie Björn was forced to say no, and is usually not national team captain Peter Gerhardsson's first choice at the top.
