EFA candidates win the Silver and Bronze Awards for Asian Medical Excellence
The UAE Football Association’s nominees, Dr. Abdullah Hassan Baron and Dr. Rima Al Hosani, won the Silver and Bronze Awards within the AFC Medical Excellence Awards for the year 2021. Dr. Abdullah Hassan Baron was chosen and won the Silver Award for Medical Excellence for his career and practical experience that extends for more than twenty years in the field of medicine. Sports medicine, where he worked as a doctor for our national teams and state clubs.
Dr. Rima Al Hosani, Chairman of the National Anti-Doping Committee, was chosen to receive the Bronze Award for Medical Excellence for her service of more than 15 years in the same field, where she worked as Vice Chairman of the Sports Medicine Committee of the Football Association, in addition to her current membership in the Medical Committee of the Asian Football Confederation.
Doctors who won the 2021 AFC Medical Excellence Awards will be honored at a ceremony to be held on the sidelines of the Seventh AFC Sports Medicine Congress, scheduled to be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, next March.
