The match between Östersund and Mjällby was first delayed due to Mjällby's player bus being involved in a minor traffic accident.

No one was injured but the match was postponed half an hour after the incident.

In the end, the match started, albeit only temporarily.

After 20 minutes, it was snowing so hard in Östersund that referee Fredrik Klitte chose to pause the match.

- The pitch is a bit special today, it's probably more snowmobile driving than football, ÖFK coach Per Johan Hansen told Discovery before the match.

It was unclear for a long time when the match would resume, but after about 65 minutes break with snow shoveling, the players were back on the field.

"Bambi on slippery ice"

The snow chaos made the pitch incredibly difficult to play and at half time the score was still 0-0.

- It's brown football now, division 4 class on this.

But it's a little nice, nothing wrong with that.

You feel a bit like Bambi on slippery ice, Mjällby's Jacob Bergström told Discovery during the break.

However, Jacob Bergström managed to stay on his feet in the second half.

The striker stayed in front of a post from Joel Nilsson and nodded in the lead goal.

Bergström also stayed ahead shortly afterwards when he set his second goal of the day.

The match was canceled again

The snow continued to pour down in Östersund.

With a quarter of the match left, the referee chose to break the match again for a new shot of the pitch.

The match is in progress.

The match was stopped after 20 minutes.
