A professional baseball owners' meeting was held, confirming the policy of preparing for the match next season without limiting the number of spectators.

The meeting was held in Tokyo and was attended by the owners and acting owners of 12 professional baseball teams.

Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, the number of spectators in professional baseball was limited this season, and some games were closed to spectators.

The limit has been relaxed, but currently only half of the capacity is available.

At the owners' meeting, based on the government's decision to change the basic coping policy including concrete measures to ease behavior restrictions, we aim to hold a match next season without limiting the number of spectators. It means that we have confirmed the policy to proceed.

Commissioner Atsushi Saito said, "I would like to consult with experts and related parties and have everyone enjoy baseball with as little upper limit as possible."

Also, on the 22nd, the owner of the giant, Toshikazu Yamaguchi, was elected as the chair of the owners' meeting next year.
