The Gangneung Curling Center is located in Gangneung City, Gangwon-do, South Korea. It is the venue for the men's, women's and mixed doubles in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

At present, this venue still retains the Olympic standard track configuration and has dedicated personnel to maintain it.

A few days ago, the Gangneung Curling Center ushered in a group of special athletes. They are a team composed of Chinese students in South Korea, performers and practitioners in various industries.

On December 16, they will participate in the Korean-Chinese star curling contest on the 50-day countdown to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

A reporter from China News Agency recently visited the Gangneung Curling Center in Gangneung City, Gangwon-do, South Korea, to visit the preparation training of the Chinese team.

The reporter learned during the interview that that day was the third training for these non-professional athletes. Under the guidance of professional curling coaches, they started from scratch and can already complete basic competition moves on the track.

The players said that although they were unable to return to their country to watch the games and cheer due to the epidemic, they looked forward to using this friendly match to promote the popularization of ice and snow sports and realize the inheritance of the spirit of the Winter Olympics.
