Carolina took the lead four times.

Los Angeles equalized four times in the NHL meeting during the night towards Sunday.

- Our defensive job was of course not the best, we have to close it, says Los Angeles forward Adrian Kempe when he meets journalists after the match.

Even when Martin Necas gave Carolina the lead for the fifth time in the game, with just over half a minute left, Los Angeles managed to get a draw just seconds later.

Thought one.

After a video review, it was ruled out when Los Angeles center Phillip Danault was judged to have had unauthorized contact with Carolina goalkeeper Frederik Andersen in a situation just before.

The Danish goalkeeper had a lot to do in the third period, where he made 20 saves.

- He had a fantastic third period.

I mean, that was the difference in the match.

We did nothing, says Carolina coach Rod Brind'Amour.

Kempe, the best player of the match, accounted for two of the equalizer goals.

The first, which meant 2-2, came twelve minutes into the first period.

Anze Kopitar won the technique, which ended up with Alexander Edler, who sent the puck towards goal.

Many thought that Edler's first goal in the Los Angeles shirt was a fact, but it turned out that Kempe who covered in front of the goal controlled the puck.

- You always want to score goals, especially when you are below.

I just tried to shoot as much as possible, says Kempe.

Instead of rejoicing at his first goal after the move from Vancouver, Edler was able to make his second two-point match of the season, as he was noted for an assist even at the 1-1 goal.

With his six points, he has the second most of the slopes in his new club.

"Sucks so clear"

Kempe's second goal, the seventh of the season, came just over halfway into the match, where he broke a pass in a numerical disadvantage, and on his own went forward and outsmarted Frederik Andersen in the Carolina cage.

- Even though we lost, we had a good pressure in the third, we had many good chances, and got one or two goals.

Right now it sucks, of course, but some things were very good that we get to take with us and other things we have to go back and watch and do better the next match, says Kempe.

For Carolina, the match was the fourth victory in a row.

- I think it's always a good thing when you can win, and at the same time know that you can play much better, says center Sebastian Aho, who was noted for a goal and an assist in the match.
