Before the season, Julia Roddar then left Kopparbergs / Göteborg (now BK Häcken) for Washington Spirit in NWSL.

And after the 2-1 victory against OL Reign last weekend, the 29-year-old and her new team had reached all the way to the final in the American league.

Chicago was the opposition and Roddar started on the bench - but was replaced in the second half at a disadvantage 0-1.

In the second half, things went better for Roddar and Washington.

With 67 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after Andi Sullivan came through the middle, but his kick went wide.

The match went to extra time and there 33-year-old Kelley O'Hara stepped forward and nodded in the winning goal.

The title was Washington's first in the club's history.

But there could be more titles for Rowing.

Before the final, she told SVT Sport that she hopes to stay next season.

- I feel very well.

After this year, it feels like I want to stay another year, she said.
