Friday's sprint in the length premiere was canceled.

But yesterday's strong wind that pulled in over Beitostölen did not stop Saturday's race in Norway.

In the 10 km classic, it was the big favorite Therese Johaug who showed that the form is right there for the season premiere.

The 33-year-old won in the time 25.10.7.

Closest behind was compatriot Heidi Weng.

But in the name of honesty, she was not very close to today's winner, but 43.9 seconds behind Johaug.

- It felt good with the skis and I managed to complete my plan.

I was a little worried about the form before the day, but when it was getting close to the start, the competition spark came out so it felt good, says Therese Johaug.

A Swede in the starting field

Third was Silje Theodorsen who made an impressive race in the time 26.29.6.

And Johaug was also impressed by the Norwegian effort.

- It was a fantastic result!

So fun that other girls outside the national team perform well, we need that.

We need more people who can take over after me, says Johaug.

One who missed the premiere was the Norwegian shooting star Helene Marie Fossesholm.

The 20-year-old, who won the Norwegian championship last season, felt hung over and chose to give up the competition.

The only Swede to start in Beitostölen was Moa Larsson, who finished 53rd.

Almost five minutes after the winner Johaug.
