Arsenal started the Premier League season badly, but turned around and had a lossless suite of ten matches with league and cup games included.

The London team was only three points behind the top quartet in the league.

But a revenge-hungry Liverpool stopped the suite.

Coach quarrel ignited

After the loss last time against West Ham, Liverpool came to life after manager Jürgen Klopp had a heated discussion with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta after a rather sluggish first half hour.

In the 39th minute, Sadio Mané nodded in 1-0 and then Arsenal were a beaten team.

In the second half, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and substitute Takumi Minamino filled in with home goals.

Liverpool climbed to second place in the table, four points behind leading Chelsea.

There was no talk for the league leaders either.

There was a class difference between the teams when Chelsea drove away over Leicester 3-0.

The result was just under.

Already in the first half, Chelsea went up in a 2-0 lead.

Antonio Rudiger reached the top of a corner hit by Ben Chilwell and nodded in 1-0 in the 14th minute.

Then N'Golo Kanté stormed towards the penalty area in a solo performance and extended the lead with a left shot when half an hour of the match was played.

Christian Pulisic set the final score when he managed Hakim Ziyech's input and pushed in 3-0 with just under 20 minutes left in the match.

Gerrard won in the debut

Several coaching changes have been made in the Premier League during the national team break.

No less than three clubs had presented new coaches for the weekend.

The most notable appointment?

Steven Gerrad is back on English soil from Scottish Rangers, now as head of Aston Villa.

And his first match had a happy ending.

2-0 victory and Gerrard can count on his first three points as Premier League coach.

It was a long chance-poor match, which also seemed to end goalless.

But before it was over, striker Ollie Watkins wanted something else.

He got the ball from Ashley Young, drove it towards the penalty area and curled the ball into the far end in the 84th minute.

When then Tyrone Mings shaved in a return to 2-0, Villa Park exploded.

Steven Gerrard could not have wished for a better start as coach of Aston Villa.
