Harassment of athletes .. British athletics coach banned for life

The British Athletics Association said it has banned former coach John Lees for life after finding him guilty of indecent acts against athletes by molesting them.

Lees, who previously coached British A-level athletes, appealed against his five-year ban, which was issued last February.

But an independent appeals body of the British Athletics Federation found him guilty of five counts.

Liz, who was based in Edinburgh, also pleaded guilty to two new charges.

In addition to improper conduct, Liz was found guilty of making chiropractic adjustments when he was not qualified to do so between 2009 and last year, and of causing an athlete's injury by doing so in 2016.

"We have concluded that Liz has always acted inappropriately and completely bypassed regulations and limits," the British Athletics Association said in a statement.
