Officially .. Saudi Arabia will not participate in the first team in the Arab Cup

The French coach, Herve Renard, the coach of the Saudi national football team, announced that the first row of the "Green" will not participate in the Arab Cup, hosted by Qatar, as of November 30.

The Arab Cup is back again after a hiatus of more than nine years, as the new edition will be held in Qatar under the umbrella of the International Federation "FIFA" for the first time and will continue until December 18.

In today's press conference, Renard said: "We will not participate in the first team in the Arab Cup. We have put together a squad of players born in 1999 and above who will participate in the Arab Cup, and Mr. Laurent Bonadi will coach."

He continued, "I preferred to play a supervisory role over the players participating in the Arab Cup in order to monitor them closely and see their professionalism, and I previously did that with the Moroccan national team when it participated in the African Cup for Locals."

He stressed, "In the Arab Cup, we will play to win, and I am the one who bears the responsibility for the decision to play in the reserve team."

Renard talked about the Saudi team's journey to the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, after leading the second group with 16 points from five victories and a draw in six matches.

"Since I came to work with the Saudi national team, I always repeat that my goal and the goal of everyone who works with me is to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, so far we have not accomplished the task of qualifying for the World Cup, we have four matches left," Renard said.

"I am completely satisfied with the squad in the national team, and I hope we can continue the work we have achieved," he concluded.
