After a tentative start to the season, top-ranked Colorado has picked up speed.
In tonight's meeting with Vancouver, the team took the third straight victory, much thanks to Gabriel Landeskog.
First, the Swede was involved and played Nazem Kadri to the 2-2 draw at the beginning of the third period.
Shortly after, Cale Makar gave Colorado the lead before Landeskog could decide in an empty net in the closing seconds.
The goal was Landeskog's sixth this season.
Fifth straight loss
For Vancouver and the Swedes Elias Pettersson, Nils Höglander and Oliver Ekman-Larsson, it still looks heavy.
The loss means that they now have five straight defeats and that they are third last in the western conference.
