Historic achievement by Muhammad Al-Mutaiwee in the Arab Cycling Championship

The young Emirati cyclist, Mohammed Al-Mutaiwee, achieved a historic achievement in the Arab Cycling Championship currently being hosted by Egypt, after winning the gold in the individual youth race for a distance of 75 km, to become the first cyclist in the history of the Arab championships for the youth category to win two golds in the time trial and the individual in the championship, since it was launched In 1978, Al Mutaiwee succeeded in advancing confidently in the last session, outperforming the 32 riders who participated in the championship.

On the other hand, the national cycling team’s Safia Al Sayegh won a new silver for the UAE in the individual general 60 km race, and the women’s team added a new medal for the UAE through the bronze in the individual general race for a distance of 45 km, in their first participation in this category during external competitions.

The women's national team consists of: Hoda Hussein, Marwa Khour, Muzna Al-Marzouki and Ranad Al-Yafei.

On the other hand, Al-Sayegh's brilliance came, after a strong competition with 25 female competitors in the U-23 category.

With this result, the UAE's medals in road and people of determination competitions rose to 13 medals.

The road race competitions conclude today with the cross-country race for adults over a distance of 150 km, in which the UAE participates with a team led by Youssef Mirza, in addition to the under-23 race for the same distance, and the junior race for a distance of 45 km.
