Barcelona president wants to bring together Alves, Messi, Iniesta and Xavi again

Barcelona club president, Joan Laporta, hopes to bring together the stars of the golden period again, as he seeks to restore the services of Andreas Iniesta and Argentine star Lionel Messi, along with the Brazilian veteran Alves, who he signed recently, as well as under the leadership of the former star, and current coach Xavi.

During the presentation ceremony for defender Alves, in the presence of ten thousand fans at the Camp Nou stadium yesterday, Laporta indicated that Alves' return to the Catalan club may not be the last and may open the door to the return of Messi and Iniesta.

Iniesta left Barcelona in 2018 and moved to Japan's Vissel Kobe, while Messi moved to Paris Saint-Germain last summer after the expiration of his contract with the club, which was unable to renew his contract due to financial problems.

"I do not rule out that," Laporta said when asked about the possibility of Messi and Iniesta's return.

"It happened with Danny, I want to thank him because he saw the situation in the club and wanted to come back and give a helping hand."
