The Davis Cup game begins on November 25.

The venues are Madrid, Innsbruck and Turin and the premiere match is played between Sweden and Canada.

Now the opposing team from North America announces that two of their best players will miss the tournament.

These are Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov, ranked number 10 and 14 in the world.

"I have to pull out of the Davis Cup and end my season.

I have been suffering from an injury for some time and the doctors recommend that I rest before the next season starts ", says Auger-Aliassime.

But the decision to make the decision has been tough for the 21-year-old.

"It is always a great pride to represent my country and therefore it has not been an easy decision.

The team has all my support and I wish them luck in Madrid ", he continues.

Played the final in Stockholm

As recently as Sunday, Denis Shapovalov played the final in the Stockholm Open.

A final that the 22-year-old lost to the American Tommy Paul.

But now he needs to rest.

"Unfortunately, I will not participate in the Davis Cup.

It is always a pleasure and an honor for me to represent my country in the Davis Cup, but I need to rest, ”he says.

The duo is replaced by 30-year-old Steven Diez.

Heavy losses for Canada, something that could improve Sweden's chances at the end of November.
