Dubai hosts golf tournament for People of Determination

Today, a training workshop was held at Jumeirah Golf Estates, in the presence of Adel Al Zarooni, Vice President of the Emirates Golf Federation, and Mr. Tony Bennett, President of the European Golf Federation of People of Determination. On the sidelines of the workshop, the Emirates Golf Federation announced a future working partnership between the Emirates Golf Federation and the European Golf Federation of owners This cooperation is followed by the establishment of a number of competitions and tournaments hosted by the UAE in the next few years to support golf players of people of determination, in confirmation of the UAE's pioneering efforts to support all segments of society.

In this context, the European Golf Tour announced the launch of the European Golf Association for Golfers of Determination competitions, which includes 8 players, and will be hosted by Dubai at the Earth Course in Jumeirah Golf Estates on Friday and Saturday. DB World Golf, which marks the end of the European Tour season 2021 and the end of the "race to Dubai season" within the Rolex Series, which will be held at the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Courses from November 18 to 21.

The competitions are held in Dubai in cooperation with the European Golf Federation for People of Determination, the authority supervising the new world classification for golfers of determination, called the “Dubai Final”. A physical condition that prevented them from practicing golf professionally, most notably the English world number one, Cape Bobert, ranked number one in the world, Irish Brendan Lawlor, number two in the world, American Chris Beggins, ranked fourth in the world, Canadian Curtis Barkley, ranked seventh in the world, Italian Tommaso Perino, ranked eighth in the world, and Belgian Adam Wehbe, ranked 16 in the world. England's Mike Brown, ranked 19th in the world, and Sweden's Felix Norman, ranked 25th.
