Officially, 11 teams qualified for the 2022 World Cup finals
The number of teams that qualified officially for the World Cup finals in Qatar 2022 increased to 11 after the round that was held on Monday night and included the European qualifiers, which witnessed exciting results and abundant goals, most notably the England match that beat San Marino 10-0. Switzerland also reserved its place in the finals After beating Bulgaria 4-0.

The first-placed in each of the ten groups of European qualifiers will qualify for the finals directly, while the runner-up teams will play a play-off between them, with the participation of two qualified teams from the European Nations League to determine the identity of the other three qualified teams from the old continent.
Contrary to the old system, the play-off will not be held with direct confrontations from two home and away matches. Rather, the 12 teams will be divided into three tracks determined by a lottery, with four teams competing in each of them with a semi-final system (March 24-25) and a final match (March 28-29). The winner qualifies for the World Cup (three tracks = three qualified teams for each track).
The identity of the qualifiers has been decided in all European groups except for the seventh group, which is still confused between the Netherlands, Turkey and Norway, and will be decided today.
