The Swede's Washington Spirit defeated Olympics Reign in the semifinals 2-1 late on Sunday night, Swedish time.
However, the profit was far from over.
Already after three minutes, Roddars Washington ended up at a disadvantage after the American superstar Megan Rapinoe served Eugenie Le Sommer to 1-0.
The capital team, on the other hand, came with a quick reply when they equalized in the twelfth minute through Trinity Rodman.
Ashley Sanchez then scored the 2-1 goal in the 68th and four minutes later Roddar was substituted to defend the lead - something they succeeded with.
"I think we knew we would get another goal," Sanchez told the Washington Post.
Washington faces Chicago, who in turn defeated the Portland Thorns 2-0, in the final.
