The Jordan Football Association has submitted a complaint to the Asian Football Confederation, to verify the gender of one of the Iranian players, who participated in the Asian Cup Women's Qualifiers Final match against the Jordanian team.

The Jordan Football Association called for an investigation to be opened and appropriate measures taken, if there is any doubt about the eligibility of a player participating in the competitions.

This came after the Iranian women's team defeated its Jordanian counterpart, on penalties, in the final match, which witnessed the brilliance of the Iranian goalkeeper, whose gender is questionable.

The complaint indicated that “in view of the evidence provided by the Jordan Football Association, and given the importance of this competition, we ask the AFC to initiate a transparent and clear investigation by a panel of independent medical experts, to verify the eligibility of the player concerned and others on the team, no Especially since the Iranian women's soccer team has a history of gender issues and doping."

The original time of the match, which was held at Bunyodkor Stadium in the Uzbek capital Tashkent, ended with a 0-0 draw, and the two teams resorted to penalty kicks, which the Iranian team won, to top the Group G standings.
