After a 26-year hiatus, the Alpine World Cup was back in Lech, Austria last season.

This weekend, it's time again when parallel is on the program.

- They say that this is the most perfect hill to run a parallel race in. They have really prepared for parallel with good light and equal slope on both sides so the tracks should be just as fast, which is unusual, says SVT's expert Pernilla Wiberg .

For the Swedish part, it is the team that took World Cup silver in Cortina last winter that will start.

Sara Hector and Estelle Alphand compete on Saturday and Kristoffer Jakobsen and Mattias Rönngren drive on Sunday.

Now the season really starts after the sneak start in Sölden in October where Hector became the best Swede with a twelfth place.

But she has success from parallel and last year she finished fourth in the discipline in Lech.

- Sara Hector was good last year so she is well eager to step up on the podium.

And she started the same in Sölden as last year so there should be good chances.

She often performs well in parallels.

We can expect her to be there.

Top four in any case.

- Kristoffer Jakobsen and Mattias Rönngren can hopefully be inspired by the World Cup silver.

Hoping for the top four position on both the women's and men's side.

Who is the favorite for the victory?

- What is so fun about parallel is that it does not have to be the classic slalom and giant slalom skiers who are the best, but new names can come and show themselves.
