“Shut up and play!” Is what American athletes hear far too often when they interfere in social or political issues.

Shut up and play is obviously not the only motto that goes with the Olympic Games that China is indulging in in February.

In May, Human Rights Watch wrote to the premium sponsors of the International Olympic Committee and asked if they would like to ask their business partners in Lausanne about their perfect ostrich imitations of Xi Jinping and the human rights violations of the Chinese Communist Party.

On Friday, the human rights organization made public how the sponsors reacted: with mimicry.

Like the Lord, like the Gescherr, apart from the Alliance, no one answered.

And so the Olympic organizers, for example last Tuesday, without blinking an eyelid, can tell of their pride in the "celebration of humanity" that they are planning together with Xi, while Human Rights Watch is committed to his crimes against the Humanity remembered.

And the sponsors?

Say to yourself: Shut up and pay.

They are silent and pay.
