At the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Wu Dajing won the men's 500-meter short-track speed skating competition and won the only gold medal for the Chinese delegation.
Prior to this gold medal, the Chinese team had failed in some projects that were expected to make gold. Under tremendous pressure, Wu Dajing won the championship by breaking the world record twice a day.
