Since taking a stand, several other swimmers have revealed to Hungarian media that Turi was guilty of physical harassment, including dragging one swimmer into the water by the hair and hitting another in the toilet.

A swimmer explained in an interview that Turi, known by the nickname "Tsar", compared them to pigs if he noticed they were gaining weight.

The coach, who admitted hitting a swimmer in the face and using a stick during his training sessions, defended his methods in recent interviews.

"That the one who never took a child out of the swimming pool in the 1980s in a more aggressive way than what is acceptable today throw the first stone at me," he reacted to the news site Thursday.
