The Hungarian Swimming Federation will launch an investigation into accusations of physical and psychological harassment against one of its head coaches and brought by several swimmers, the body said in a statement Thursday.
A committee will examine complaints accusing 64-year-old Gyorgy Turi, who has coached two-time world champion and six-time Olympic medalist Laszlo Cseh and other top Hungarian swimmers, the Federation said in a statement posted on its website.

Hungarian swimming star Laszlo Cseh who had been coached by Turi for most of his career until 2014, said in an interview in October that the training methods involved subjecting swimmers to physical harassment and to "psychological terror".
The coach defends himself
Since taking a stand, several other swimmers have revealed to Hungarian media that Turi was guilty of physical harassment, including dragging one swimmer into the water by the hair and hitting another in the toilet.
A swimmer explained in an interview that Turi, known by the nickname "Tsar", compared them to pigs if he noticed they were gaining weight.
The coach, who admitted hitting a swimmer in the face and using a stick during his training sessions, defended his methods in recent interviews.
