With less than a week left until the start of the World Rally Championship at Moza, it is now clear that Jonas Andersson will be the one sitting next to Gus Greensmith in his Ford.

Andersson, who earlier this year was a map reader for Ole Christian Veiby, is really looking forward to the end of Monza.

- It is the last competition with this era WRC cars so it is really a fun and exciting opportunity.

It will be fun to work with Gus and the team.

And to read English notes?

- I have read it a couple of times before but never in a WRC car at the World Cup so it will be great fun to get the chance to ride the finish.

"Extreme conditions"

Jonas Andersson has a total of 165 starts in the WRC and in addition to Veiby has also ridden with Pontus Tidemand and Mads Östberg.

His most recent participation in the WRC was actually at Monza last year.

- Last year it was extreme conditions with both lots of rain and snow.

Most likely there will be no snow this year, we will see rain.

As the competition is structured, there are actually two completely different parts because 50% goes inside the Monza area, which becomes a little more racing and "track skiing" with a little gravel sections in between.

Then we have the parties that go out in the mountains that become something completely different, it was very nice distances last year, Jonas Andersson explains to SVT Sport.
