Mortada Mansour is “forbidden” from returning to Zamalek

A source from within the Egyptian club Zamalek told "Emirates Today" that the return of Counselor Mortada Mansour to the presidency of the club has become very difficult.

He added that Mortada Mansour will not return to complete the term of the board of directors, which is returned by a court ruling, and that he will not run in the next elections scheduled for January next year, with reservations about mentioning the reasons that will prevent Mortada Mansour from continuing his career with the club.

An Egyptian court had earlier decided to cancel the decision of the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, to dissolve the Zamalek club’s board of directors, which was headed by Mortada Mansour.

Mansour was scheduled to take over the presidency of Zamalek last Saturday, but the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports decided to take a problem "according to the legal procedures in Egypt" to stop enabling the Council of Chancellor to return to take over his duties.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Youth confirmed in a press statement that the delay in implementing the court's decision to return Mortada Mansour requires time to study and consult and discuss the matter in all its aspects.
