Lazio club requests to delete a scene from the series of the late legend Maradona

The Italian football club Lazio criticized the creators of the series “Maradona: The Blessed Dream” on the Amazon Prime platform, due to a scene in which the Italian capital club is classified as fascist, and the club requested that it be removed.

The series talks about the life of the late Argentine legend, but one of his scenes angered the Lazio club, where Maradona's character said in the scene: "These fascists want to humiliate us," referring to Lazio.

"The reference to fascism is more hateful because it clearly comes with the intent of defamation," Lazio said on its website. He showed on many occasions that he was a friend of Lazio."

The capital club asked Amazon Prime to delete the scene, which it described as "unbearable as it is painful", because it "lacks respect for Lazio fans and the memory of a great hero," as the club put it.

It is noteworthy that Maradona, who previously played in the Italian league with Napoli, died on the 25th of November last year at the age of 60.
